Term Began: January 2021 Term Expires: December 2024 One of my campaign goals was to restore the transparency of the expenditures and board minutes of the ESD to the website. These two items are now being done again so that the Citizens of the district can see what action was taken by the board and what expenditures are made.

Biography

Elected Board member for Smith County Emergency District # 2 for District 4 in November of 2020, which includes the Chapel Hill and Whitehouse area.  He has over 45 years in public service to the Citizens of Smith County.  He has served on three of the Counties Volunteer Fire Departments Lindale, Troup and Whitehouse, he had over 30 years of service with the former ETMC-EMS ending his career there as a Regional Director.  He also has served our county as a Reserve Police officer and Deputy Sheriff with over 35 years of service in that area. He as a good working knowledge of the fire service and administration experience.    He also worked for the Northeast Texas Public Health District for 8 years as the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator in Gregg County.  Johnny now serves as President of the board of Commissioners for ESD #2
